I think somewhere here I wrote Trump picked him because at the time, he was sure he had a lock on the election so it didn't matter. But things changed. Joe quit.

Will Trump ask tell JD to take one for the team?

Have we not heard the last of Nikki?

And what was RFK Jr doing at Mar-a-Lago this week? :wtf:

Are you suggesting Trump replaces JD with Nikki?
NO. Conservatives hate Nikki. Trump would get severe backlash.
With JD being from Ohio, Trump is hoping JD can win over some voters in nearby states like MI, OH, WI, MN, etc...

Just yesterday RFK Jr said he's not dropping out of the race to back Trump.

Most accurate view of the race is to look at the betting sites IMO.
They're showing the race getting closer which seems logical.

That would be a mistake, shows fear. You're right, buyers remorse is setting in, but team Trump has to live with it or look frightened and confused.
I really think this election now rides on who Kamala picks as VP

Sen. JD Vance's (R-Ohio) idea to "punish" Americans with higher tax rates if they choose not to have children isn't going over well — particularly with one MAGA-aligned social media personality.

During a podcast segment with far-right activist Charlie Kirk in 2022 before announcing his run for Senate, Vance suggested that he would be in favor of alternate tax rates for Americans with children vs. Americans who don't have children.

"We need to reward the things that we think are good and punish the things that we think are bad. So you talk about tax policy, let’s tax the things that are bad and not tax the things that are good," he said. "If you’re making $100,000, $400,000 a year and you’ve got three kids, you should pay a different, lower rate than if you are making the same amount of money and you don’t have any kids. It’s that simple."

That remark didn't resonate with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. In a Friday tweet, Portnoy posted the clip of Vance telling Kirk about his proposal, calling it "f—ing idiotic."

"You want me to pay more taxes to take care of other people's kids? We sure this dude is a Republican? Sounds like a moron," Portnoy tweeted. "If you can't afford a big family don't have a ton of kids."

No I'm not suggesting anything... but there are rumors floating around, and I wanted to hear the thoughts of you guys. And when I heard this, my thoughts aligned with the Captain's. It would look wishy washy. But Trump is Trump, and if anyone could pull it off with minimal damage, he could.

Articles like that are to be expected. Try to keep in mind which side dominates the media industry.

And maybe its true. But the point is, we wouldn't see the same article splattered world-wide if the shoe were on the other paw.

It would be very Trumpian to fire the guy. I can hear him saying, guy turned out to be a "loser", but they'd skewer him in the press day and night.
RFJ Jr.? I don't think they'd hit it off all that well. Might as well go full MAGA and pick some maniac that would have leftist heads exploding. Alex Jones maybe?:wtf: One thing for sure, these are crazy ass times.

For example this. I saw this when I was doing a search about project 2025 since that seems to be all the buzz atm. This article was penned by Media Matters. Now apparently this project 2025 is highly controversial and the left is running with a lot of it; that's why I had to look it up, liberal friends going on and on... so I looked it up. Ok whatever, but that's not the point right now.

Here's the title of the article that appeared at the top (near) of the Google search for Project 2025, in big bold font:

J.D. Vance wrote the foreword to the book of Project 2025 architect Kevin Roberts — and proceeds will benefit his organization

It looks like Vance wrote the forward for Project 2025 doesn't it?

Now look at it closely and read it carefully. He didn't write the forward for Project 2025, he wrote the forward for some guys book that started 2025. There's a huge difference there. But anyone who looked up Project 2025 instantly saw that.

That was deliberate and deceptive... just to make this guy look like the Godfather of Project 2025. And I can promise you, it worked on millions of people.

And that's the kind of BS that goes on. It is what it is, but it makes my case in the post above.
