Where Booty needs to watch his arse is when he starts to make the case that being gay makes him sympatico with and part of the civil rights movement. He goes there but haltingly so, evidence that he has been advised to be very, very careful. His cerebral cortex wants to take him there because his cerebral cortex "knows" that it is an excellent and rationale argument to use with blacks. Except it is the kiss of death with minorities.

In the game or movie version of Mortal Combat, the Bossman would say “Finish him” after a combatant gained the upper hand over another combatant. Although Joe was in the lead poll wise, it could be said that Joe just finished himself with that comment if true.
