Some new climate group is trying to make headlines and, I'm sure, raise money to promote global warming. It will be interesting to see what GW propagandists are behind this group as they get going with their provocative "studies" (I use that term lightly).

A new report shows sea levels are rapidly rising and the study predicts the Jersey Shore could be underwater in a matter of decades.

The organization “Climate Central” in Princeton, New Jersey released the ocean study Wednesday.

The group found global warming is expanding sea water and causing ice sheets to melt.

Scientists believe by the end of the century, water levels will be three to four feet higher, with bigger storm surges that could wipe out low lying areas.

The study says by 2030, the risk for devastating once-in-a-century type storms will double due to rising sea levels.

Does a once in a century storm happen every 50 years?

I think the authors mean that time will speed up so it just seems like "once in a century" storms happen every 50 years.

lol but the sea level actually dropped in 2010! climate change (not global warming, they need to get with the correct pc terms lol) caused an increased number of storms moving from the sea to land...bringing all the water with it lol well, when the the ice sheets have a greater increase in melting rates, THEN sea levels will raise. so far projections don't hold true...

You may want to take a look at some real data. There's a pretty simple chart that even you can read.

When bias is running full speed ahead, then facts don't seem to matter. I think the truth is we don't know with 100% surety that GW is totally caused by man. IMO, however, we should consider this and work to stop the potential causes, since they seem to make sense anyway. Just like many environmental issues, we can cut back, recycle and all that, certainly doesn't hurt anything. It almost seems, well, 'conservative' in nature.

We know man is NOT the entire cause of GW. Solar output accounts for some of it, until about 1960, when the rising irradiation leveled off. Since then there has been a big divergence in the charts between solar and temps which can only be explained by the greenhouse effect.
