There is only one group that, in most places they live, are bent on overtaking countries they don't rule (Lebanon, Sudan not long ago, and others), and where a huge proportion of its worldwide population completely lacks respect for or tolerance of others! You basically make the argument yourself, that many Muslums societies today are like the brutal societies long ago!

first let's be accurate: you most probably mean muslim terrorists.
the answer is simple: israel is surrounded by arabs and hence has problems with them. just like england is near ireland, and hence had problems with the IRA. Or russia with the chechnians, or spain with the busks. No difference here.
About the USA, well it does have intrusive international strategy, and it does have troops in arab countries. that's why arab terrorists target the US.
Besides, the days when musims are targeting only israel and US are already gone, as is already evident. Spain already took a blow from arab terrorists just a month ago. Now just today Bin Laden offered the europeans a deal. They refused the deal (and actually I am impressed by that, I didn't know they can say No to an aggressor, that's pretty much new), so soon, they too will get their share of the bloodshed. Trust me, no country will be spared.
One thing for sure, the europeans do not support israel. And STILL Mr. Anan and his hippie bunch are going to get it in the face from the terrorists. In fact, many Christians and muslum extremists believe that nobody but those who accept their spiritual views, exactly as they accept them, can go to "heaven." Funny how even the most religious, devout Jews believe that everyone, regardless of faith, can be loved by God and go to heaven (if they otherwise lead a righteous life).
Secondly you stupid jackass, Israel didn't invade "Palestine" since the borders were created in '47. Israel went on to defend itself multiple times. Only a jackass, who actually is anti-semetic (saying biggoted and hypocritical statements and then pointing out that you'll be labeled a biggot doesn't mean its not true), would call self-defense aggression.
The UN is a corrupt institution, where Arab interests are over-represented due to their oil and influence. This is the same institution that kicked the US off the human rights commission, and the same organization that held a conference on racism that was hijacked by muslums and focused solely on Israel (to the chagrin of many who were trying to lead the conference). This at a time when slavery still exists (Sudan), and many other terrible tragedies. And Israel is the most investigated country in teh history of the UN. It has been the subject of more special sessions than any other country. Yet during that time MANY millions have died due to political and ethnic massacres, and terrible oppressions (including said slavery) persists! I hope you are at least not so stupid that you don't see your own double standards, but rather that you know that you are just spewing ignorance.
