Bush refuses to answer questions about spying on Americans....

The "leftys of 1865"

Oh man, the ditto heads, the ditto heads.....

p.s. and no, I don't trust you.....

Quote from jzlucas:

Again, you are 100% completely wrong. I proof read every issue during the Clinton administration, thanks for your concern.
Your quote is from 1865. The lefty's of 1865 have absolutely nothing in common w/ anything that is printed today. Trust me, I know. You werent the one correcting Katrina's mistakes... I was.

Just curious, and I know res can speak for himself, but what have you ever seen or read from res that would make you think he would justify or rationalize the killing of innocent civillians as okay?

Quote from saxon:

res, my friend:

are you then prepared to label anyone who kills civilians a "war criminal"....(like Osama, et al)?

i really hope that you are, since that would make your non-violent philosophy consistent. to find the US at fault on some legal technicality, and then excuse the freelance terrorists for their actions, would be a simply partisan position in my view. not a philosophical conviction.

i would happily join you in an affirmation that the killing of innocent civilians is--in ALL cases--unacceptable.

Oh, that's right... of course you dont trust me. Im part of that vast right wing conspiracy out to get you!!! You got me, Im a liar, I never worked at a printing company. I made it all up.
Its sad you have to get personal since your copy/paste news articles arent having the effect you desire.

Most notably, the fact that I have never heard a single word of condemnation from res about "terrorist actions" by middle easterners; only about the western response to same.

Also, res has suggested that there is something even laudable about the actions of bin Laden & Co. their acts of terrorism--however reprehensible--show them to be "men of their word".

but...as you say...res can speak for himself.

I see by your response that you are taking it personally.

It is a riot, that someone who claims to have been a fact checker expects people to believe what he says...with no way offered to check the facts of his story.

Ditto heads....ditto heads.....

Ahhhh, so do we assume someone is not a "good American" if they don't make a show of saluting the flag, wearing a flag pin on their lapel, and spend their time make "patriotic" statements in support of the current administration? "You are with us or you are against us......"

Bill Mahr spoke of the bravery of the 911 terrorists, and lost his job at ABC as a result.

Did that mean that he supported the actions of the terrorists?

p.s. Many people look to the movie the Godfather with respect for the "men of their word" characters in that film, while at the same time they would condemn the brutality and lawlessness of their actions in "real life."

I know....nuance is a tough concept for many. If a political situation it isn't viewed as completely black and white, within the "You are with us, or you are with the terrorists" two dimensional framework, it is beyond their intellectual capacity....

Holy crap, ZZ actually made a relevant post, without resorting to his usual strategies.
Elucidative, at once meaningfull, and yet somehow poignant, in the context of the eternal struggle against enemies of the state.

Talking about the godfather reference, that is.

Best post ever, Z.
Congrats!!

Quote from jzlucas:

Again, I've done nothing wrong, therefore have nothing to worry about. Neither you nor I or anyone we know has been spyed on... unless you are considered an imminent threat to innocent American civilians. Anyone here fit that description? .

But does the gummint know that?

And does it agree with your assessment of your patriotism? :D

This is Z10's favorite line when he really has nothing to say.

And it is the best he could do after a good night's sleep???

BWAHAHAHAHAH........ :p
