As I eluded to earlier I registered for the draft as was required by law at the time of my 18th birthday and would have then and now gladly serve if called up. If I'm not mistaken by current standards I'm about 5 years too old.
If it makes you pantie waist bleeding hearts feel any better my only son was already in the army before 9/11.
He was a SGT in the 101st, combat infantry, and was over there for the invasion of Iraq. He came back home that October, just ahead of his unit, as he was scheduled for discharge.
Thanks largely to the stellar efforts of my ex wife to drive a wedge between me and our two children I'm not very close with him. But the last I heard he was going back into the army and will be attending OCS, if he's not there already. Obviously unless something changes he's likely to be sent back to Iraq.
officially i called you a neoconservative... if you support mccain then you are absolutely voting for a neocon. the neocons trace their lineage to trotsky and the movement here in the US during the 60's and 70's were psuedo liberals.. e.g. some hippies like horowitz and beatniks such as michael savage. irving kristol is said to be the father of neoconservatism. these hippie/beatnik fakes then morphed into republicans hijacking the conservative party and leaving it in a state of chaos and shambles.
your quick look up for the definition of trotskyite is wrong btw. these so called socialist were 100% communist/fascist. emphasis on the fascist... they couldn't care less about the people of russia and 'the good will of the collective.' wall street, i.e. the capitalist financed these americans in their slaughter of tens of millions of russians. the method of genocide they loved the most was starvation. (cost effective..... plus there was no YouTube back then)
just as both parties in the US today represent wall street and the elite... we too are seeing some lovely fruit of fake conservatism. wars for no reason... imploding the economy/dollar and oil prices in a hyper spike are all to blame on the neocon/trotskyites, in fact... it was their goal all along.
back to the war with iran that you froth for.... we have zero reason to attack them. not one reason.. no proof of anything. the same people that want to genocide the iranians are the same fools that lied us into iraq. please wake up... i would hate for your son to come home in a body bag and for you to realize all of this after his funeral.
