Bungrider: I agree with much of your post. However it's hard to argue that the violence associated with Islamic expansionism/extremism isn't of epic global proportions. Perhaps peaceful American Muslims are not the best proxy. Afterall not many fanatical Muslims could stomach living here in the West.

The happenings in Algeria, Malaysia, Pakistan and the Philippines make it clear that there is more to this battle than the struggle over a Palestinian homeland. Clearly anything approaching a genocidal onslaught against Islam must be avoided. Yet, is it immoral for Western democracies to target certain clerics/leaders for removal by force? When is imposition warranted? Ever?

I was a die hard democrat. Worked and ate with the elite. Believing they honestly cared for the little guy. As time went by my eyes were opened wider and wider to the truth. I was talking to VP Mondale one day about some legislation the administration was trying to push through and how it was going to kill three communities were I lived and put thousands out of work. You know what he said? "Well they vote mostly republican there anyway". I couldn't believe my ears. The SOB couldn't care less about jobs and people. People are only pawns. Think that's an isolated attitude? WRONG.

Personally I don't care which party a candidate belongs to. I'll look at their views, mindset etc. and weigh that against what I think is fair and sound. I'll be voting for Bush because he's had a harsh road to travel, some of it NOT of his making, and he's done okay. Kerry's actions after he came home went too far. Some of our men suffered more at the hands of their captors because of the propaganda. And you know, I kinda like those that feel we're being taxed too much. When my neighbor practices sound money management and still can't get out of the hole because so much is taken away in taxes, something is wrong. That's not the American dream.

I have a sister that is both french and american, she proposes me to get also the american nationality, it would be fun but if there is a coming dictature I think to stay in Europe although I hate his demagogic socialism haha ! Also is the cost worth: 1 million $ to buy the nationality or I would have to make a false marriage :D.
