I prefer bear markets. More volatility. More opportunities in both directions.
As a perma-bull, this is my response. Gosh I so hate bears. No disrespect ET180.

...I’ve done relatively OK in this beer...
LOLOL good catch. Obviously, SIRI. Fixed itWhich label? I prefer the lighter lagers, not a darker-grain like stouts and porters.

Yeah the Apple chick, lol. AKA voice recognitionWhat do you mean Siri? You mean the Apple chick?

Scataphagos is right. I’m a perfect example. I’ve been whipsawed quite a bit as a result of having a long bias. I’ve done relatively OK in this bear but I could’ve done much better had I not been sucked in multiple times
I think it’s human nature to be biased towards stocks growing up. It’s just more comfortable and after a quick down move when the market starts to rally it’s very easy to get sucked in
of course I’m the only one here that happens to because everyone else here knows better and never makes mistakes like that ;-)
%%Bear markets don't seem so tough to me - just do what Ken does and fade every single rally with a vengeance.

One of the few who really get it. No wishy washy addendums needed. Just straight talk, this is how it is. Deal with it.Actually, I think these markets are easier to trade. More opportunities for proficient traders. In other words, if you are having serious issues in this market as a trader, then you have not arrived.
Probably the first thing those struggling have to do is realize they did indeed "confuse brains and a bull market". Second thing is to get over themselves, and trade what they are seeing, not what they want to see.
Investing is another story. Risk management and opportunity costs are key.
