Buick dealer lot one mile away - now empty

Quote from IanMacQuaide:

GM/Chevy dealer just north of Houston just finished a new dealership facility, reallly super nice. Just got all the new GM and Chevy's moved there last week.
I'd bet this is the last bad business decision he'll make in his life.
He's 75, nice guy, supports the local FFA livestock auctions every year. I'd think that's over too, forever.
I talked to his General Mgr last week, he hung his head and said "It's really bad. I've never had 2 wks go by without someone coming in to buy a car. but I have now."

IanMacQuaide,

This place is also on I-45 north just south of the beltway (greenspoint). They moved from the galleria area. They have some really nice cars and I can't find any place that can compete with them on price. They have their car lot and also list them all on ebay, they have 134 cars currentley listed.

Re the comment too many dealerships and too many cars sold. Imo, the business of the US is to produce and consume autos. Mortgage money flowed to the new land with less risk in the burbs and the only the only way to get to burb land is by auto.

cars are back now, looks like they moved them all inside to avoid a snowstorm, and make it easier to plow the lot

........oops

made for an interesting thread about who's to blame though

Were pinheads now
We are not whole
Were pinheads all

it would be interesting to know how many new car dealerships have sold used vehicles knowlingly with the odometers "rolled back"..............the jails are not big enough to hold all the crooks in the auto industry...................
