If I mark in my settings that I don't want to show my online status it is not working as I still appears.

I say in privacy: don't show and used the same settings in preferences as the same question pops up there again:

If I mark in my settings that I don't want to show my online status it is not working as I still appears.

It shows to you, but not to anyone else. Not really a bug.

You can verify this for yourself by opening another browser in which you're not logged in, and comparing the two: in one you'll appear to be here and visible (to yourself only); in the other (which is, effectively, what everyone else sees, because they're not logged in as "schweiz") it won't show that you're online.

Right, that's because you can't hide from yourself.

Nobody else sees you in the list except for you.
