As an attorney I can comment on this.
There are legal requirements for due process.
However in the real world govt workers from judges on down to county clerks, know, that you can frequently blow off proper notice because people do a cost benefit analysis.
When amounts are small or chance of success by the citizen low - due process can go right out the window... on a surprisingly frequent basis.
By analogy just ask the foreclosure trustee's and the robo signers. Where was due process there?

Thats the thing, in my case maybe i could have hired a lawyer, if i had known the law and that they supposedly have to warn me. Though i still think ak47 is wrong cause i got no warning before they cleaned me out.
I thought what they did was legit, and i knew i owed the money, and all a lawyer might have been able to do was buy me time. I still would have owed the money, plus i would have owed legal fees. So they know that they can go in and do this and that 90% of the time no one is going to put up a fight, and just about 100% of the time no one will be held accountable.
AK47's argument is ridiculous because even if it was true that the government had to warn me, the government has no problem with breaking the law, because they are never held accountable.

no doubt they sometimes clean out first and ask questions later. What is the risk to them? they have to pay for some overdraft fees.

But, the other practical point is... if you choose to look like a dirt ball.. pay your registration... get your tail lights fixed and don't have guns or drugs in your car.

Yeah, thats the way i looked at it. When they drained me i was livid about it at first because i had a full tank of gas i had to pay for at a gas station, and no money. But when i got over my initial anger, i accept full responsibility for it. I didnt pay my taxes, i knew what i was doing, i took a chance in the market, and it didnt work out for me. I lost, and I basically got what i deserved.
Though the one thing i will say about those assholes, is that they have absolutely no concern about whether or not you can hold a job to pay them back as long as they can squeeze a few more nickels out of you that day, they have no foresight whatsoever. Like i said earlier its like dealing with the mob.... ("Fuck you pay me") I almost lost my job at this trading firm cause they didnt want to deal with me once the tax man started harassing them as well.
