If I were Warren, I would teach my family well and teach them how to grow the money. Hand the keys over to them when its time to say goodbye. However, I would not hand the keys over to strangers or charity groups...to what...divide the money amongst the unaccomplished??? I believe Warren's thinking creates more problems then solves...
This is very true, his core companies are not going to last under the current structure. His B shares now trade at marketably reasonable levels, but we still have A shares that he will not split because he'd like to get a little discount on smaller lots for his shareholders by his relationship with the New York Stock Exchange.
