As much as I despise government I think you're wrong that being leftist is evil, I think a lot of the morons in power now are corrupt and incompetent? But evil? Nah. They have hurt a ridiculous amount of people due to their sheer incompetence in handling problems though.

BULLSHIT! The "proper" level of "government assistance" for those who need it and qualify SHOULD be.... "a cot in a shelter and 3 meals a day"... if the productive portion of society is going to be obliged to support the "have nots".. the have nots should be entitled to no more than "subsistence"... if they want more than that out of their lives, THEY SHOULD GET A FRICKIN' JOB!!!!!!!!!!

Productive Americans don't "owe them [anybody] a living"... we support the less fortunate to a degree... but we don't "owe somebody a moderate living... subsidize housing, subsidized utilities, food stamps, subsidized big screen TV, etc", just because they were "born"...

While there may be some True Believers (maybe even The One), I suspect most of the political leaders understand very much what they are doing and the ramifications down the road. Doing things you know are going to hurt the country in the long run to achieve and maintain power is pretty evil, IMO.

I never said anything about people being owed a living or about benefits, in fact all I said was that I think the left is more corrupt and incompetent than evil. You need to stop watching so much Fox news.
