A new year, so new hopes. This year will be the year of Linu... I mean Bitcoin, right?
Since I like to predict and I tend to flatter myself that I am fairly good at it, here are my price movement predictions for Bitcoin. My last year's prediction was right on the money when I correctly guessed a year ago that 2014 will be the first year when BTC would close down for the year.
Before you cry about my crystal ball, make your own predictions and we will come back to this thread 12 months from now...
Anyhow, let's throw in the predictions, and more than one, because that's how the pros do it!:
1. The ATH of $1200ish will never be reached. Ever.
2. Price will stay in the $150-450 range.
3. There will be 3-4 bigger rallies but I would be surprised to go much over $600.
4. Bitcoin won't die in 2015 but it won't get much more popular (aka used) either. It is going to stay a very tradable product, generally after every bigger move sideways action expected with well defined ranges of 20-40 bucks.
5. The scandals and hacks will continue effecting the price volatility but only temporarily.
6. I don't expect the Winklewii to get the SEC permit for their ETF, but if so, that will add to BTC's price volatility.
In general just fade every quick move, none of the sudden jumps will be for long.
