Brown Wins

Quote from nutmeg:

What the Dems don't realize is many people would rather have a job than extended unemployment benefits. Not everyone wants a gov't check, food stamps, "help" or free money.

Might change their minds when they learn the job they get doesn't pay any more than unemployment benefit.

You know what has vanished from E.T. in less than 2 years?

People talking about Ron Paul.

If you can honestly understand why that is, you will also understand that this election doesn't actually change the real status quo one bit.

many people talk abt Ron paul at stormfront, maybe you can join them there

So, Obamacare was stopped.

The nationalization of key industries has been completed. The plunder has been counted. The losses were socialized, the gains privatized.

An already overburdened health cares system has no hopes of accommodating the oncoming boomers.

Death Panels? Do u seriously think that this new? Patients have been declared "not a candidate" for surgery for many many years now.

Medicine for the bottom quintile has been socialized for years.

I would not be surprised if this election were already planned out.

It has the excellent effect of stopping all that "revolution" talk by the right, because they believe they have done something now. The health care bill was so egregiously bad that it has the look and smell of a straw man from the beginning, really.

Lots of crowing. It appears that Republicans are sore winners as well as sore losers. Who would have thought that you gents had such well-rounded personalities.

The size of government is not the issue at all, that is just the right wing spin.

The economy was the reason the party in power lost an agent for their brand of change.

It is the economy...stupid.

OPTIONAL777 - Fantastic point !!!!!!

I'm new here ... do you dialog or "dual" log?
Do you read minds or hear the thoughts of others?
Are you aware that if you continue to ask posing questions that insinuate the thoughts or intentions of others that it can be accusatory and does not fit a dialog context but a dual log context?

Apparently you misunderstood what I was trying to say in numerous other posts. I suspect some might also be on other threads.

YOUR QUESTION:"could possible be behind your thought that a change is political party would lead to a reduced government?"

ANSWER: I believe I have covered many things earlier in posts (here on this thread and others) that should make it clear that I don't think any party is different from another. So the election might be mute. However I have hope it might slow things a bit by breaking the filibuster hold in favor of Obamacare. (Concerned OC is going to be unlawfully forced anyway.)

Trolls by definition "dual" log ... so please dialog and I will continue to respect you. "Dual" log and I will likely ignore you. (That would be a shame ... as it appears we may have some similar views.)

A year ago, he was leader of a liberal ascendancy that would last 40 years (James Carville). A year ago, conservatism was dead (Sam Tanenhaus).

What happened yesterday was a CLEAR message by THE PEOPLE...
...who already have universal health care. But, yes, they have spoken.

While the bitch slap to Obama and company administered by the good folk of Massachusetts is indeed very gratifying. We need much more than this to really turn things around. Ideally a whole new congress devoid of elitist career politicians beholding to their special interests. IOW a group of patriots with the mind set of temporarily serving their constituents and the country as a whole.
