Actually ... I was at a meeting before the Regan Election where an ex CIA and think tank "White Paper" person shared with us the exact electoral and popular votes 3 months prior to the Regan Election. (BTW: I loved Regan ... though it was Bush Senior calling a lot of the shots behind.)

So ... NO ... but whatever sentiments the people have demonstrate just how much heat the frog in the hot water will tolerate.

That is often altered and misrepresented and just plain cheated away by the power elite ... but if the "mob" of people are strong enough ... it is recognized to let the frog water temps drop a bit.

I don't think we have had an uncontrolled President since JF Kennedy. Look what happened when he tried to stop the Fed ... He was killed and the silver certs stopped the next day.

Nevertheless any victory against socialism is a pendulum swing that offers hope. (Kiss my Ass G. Soros !!!)

If you can honestly understand why that is, you will also understand that this election doesn't actually change the real status quo one bit.

This tiny tiny victory has some weight to it. I am hopeful that there is enough weight to be added value to a real start of complete change and reduction of government.

Stopping the monster even a bit makes me glad. Though realistically unless there is a true American uprising and voice for accountability in Government that does not feed entitlement ... then we are still in quicksand.

I like Ron Paul and desire a return to what made America Great. I don't think he is that kind of leader but he does stand for that kind of America.

Damn I hope that we are not being set up for a "fascist" republican regime if the pendulum swings too far. (I am a republican btw) ...

Need to make a note to get the Bilderberg attendee list 1-2 yrs before the Presidential election ... that is how I guessed Clinton as President way before the election and before anyone knew who he was (Except those in Arkansas)
 
Since every administration for the past 60+ years has increased government, and since every administration was either dem or repub, what logical thinking could possible be behind your thought that a change is political party would lead to a reduced government?

The soccer moms just let it be known they are not really leftist dems.
The country wants change away from the crazy spending in Washington. Obama has a chance to show he could make chance. Now the county knows no dem can do it. I suspect it time for a beter contract with America.

Not with fake evangelical republicans but with fiscal conservatives.
A flat tax, spending cuts. Redeployment of our resources away from filling our prisons with pot possessors to border protection. Work fare not welfare. A clean up of our unemployment roles away from paying people in seasonal jobs. We need to structure our spending and taxes in a way which encourages rational economic choices.

We need to direct some our resources to get us off oil. We need to reform our educational systems without spending more money on them. We do need to think about ways to make our exporters more competitive. Perhaps real health care reform could take the cost of health care out of the cost of our products. We need to find ways to bring some manufacturing back to america.

Apparently you misunderstood what I was trying to say in numerous other posts. I suspect some might also be on other threads.

ANSWER: I believe I have covered many things earlier in posts (here on this thread and others) that should make it clear that I don't think any party is different from another. So the election might be mute. However I have hope it might slow things a bit by breaking the filibuster hold in favor of Obamacare. (Concerned OC is going to be unlawfully forced anyway.)


Trolls by definition "dual" log ... so please dialog and I will continue to respect you. "Dual" log and I will likely ignore you. (That would be a shame ... as it appears we may have some similar views.)
 
The backlash already started after the Virginia and New Jersey elections. This is just a sample of what is to come.

Democrats have no hope for the mid terms because anyone with an ounce of sense knows unemployment will not fall enough for a change in momentum. The only hope Democrats have is if unemployment falls enough to give Obama a second term. By that time though, he will be powerless with a Republican Congress.

Tell me, what is more entertaining than seeing starry eyed liberals, who are motivated by eight years of a Republican presidency, hit a brick wall within one year? On second thought, don't tell me because you will ruin the fun.
 
What the Dems don't realize is many people would rather have a job than extended unemployment benefits. Not everyone wants a gov't check, food stamps, "help" or free money.
