Incredible. You took one correct fact and made believe that your entire remark is true. It is the taking of a true fact to make a deceptive lie. It took awhile on this thread but you have revealed yourself again.

Well if the listener or a reader is able to read and listen with no ulterior motives and with full attention then it would arrive at the correct conclusion that the communicator has intended to disseminate. If everything that the communicator has stated are all true then how can a false conclusion be reached? If the communicator has stated "the sky is blue" how can the listener or the reader reach the false conclusion "the sky is red"? There is only one explanation and one explanation only: It's because the listener or the reader, the receiver of the communication is intentionally distorting and misinterpreting what the communicator is saying or writing for the intention of usually trying to discredit the communicator and at the same time to elevate its own authority.

This screen shot is a more dramatic example. The numbers are rather absurd, but it demonstrates conclusively that Schwab is indeed allowing the premium collected from the sale of the put to be immediately applied to the cash-secured put requirement.

This is a different IRA account, and it has only $43.60 in cash.

Schwab will allow me to sell a CVNA put with a strike of $13.50.

The cash requirement to take an assignment is $1350.00.

The order will be accepted because I have entered a limit price of $13.25.

If the order is filled, it will generate $1324.34 in cash (after commission). That amount, when combined with the cash balance of $43.60, is sufficient to satisfy the cash-secured put requirement.

I thought about trying to do that, but I figured I'd get the wrong answer in a margin account, even if I hit (I think it's an option) "cash" in the dropdown order menu...I'm not sure if I would get the correct answer... and heaven forbid I said I did it in a margin account... I would have just given this little peon twerp more 2nd grade fodder to post directed at me while he boldly stands behind his little chicken-sh^t block/unblock tricks.

But that answers that. So yes, it would appear that can happen in a cash account. Lucky for me I guess, it has never been a dragon I had to slay, but T+1 settlement rules at the time looked like a reasonable explanation, and again, I was trying to help before lamb-chops here got all insecure and went nasty 3 or 4 posts into the thread.

He somehow parlayed my misunderstanding... I guess there are actually people that would would buy a $4 put on a $0.20 stock that probably takes 50M shares to move it 2 cents in a day... I mean if making $3 TOTAL before $1.30 round trip commission is one's goal... well I never knew. But since he decided to look at that as an opportunity to drop from 3rd grade level down to second... allow me one last parting dig...
