Broker - Relfects Incorrect Information

Hello,

I have a question regarding what I can do if my Broker reflects the incorrect information on the account which in turn prevented me from closing out a position.

I'm a novice in day trading and was wondering if this stuff happens from time to time or in a regular basis.

What "incorrect information on the account" would keep you from closing out a position?

I can understand "incorrect information on the account" not allowing you to open a position, but you should always be able to close out a position.

My advice would be to dump your current broker and get a new broker that knows how to keep proper account records.
