Broken Mergers

Hi,

I'm looking for a source of merger deals that have broken in the past few years. I want to study the impact on the spread of the deal collapsing. Any web sites that offer this information?

I have found from observation that the stocks generally revert back to their pre announcement prices. A good takeover candidate that a deal collapses on usually holds value. If the deal broke because of issues with one or the other firm that will have an extrra impact on that firms shareprice.

In short, while there probably is a study that can tell you what "typically" happens, each deal is seperate and distinct.

Out of interest what is the fail rate like 1 in 100 10 in a 100.

Obviously it is specific to each situation but on average what is your experience
