Quote from Rearden Metal:

The moment people like you feel safely in the majority, you always try to 'clean up' those in the minority. This behavior is at the root of all the very worst atrocities ever perpetrated by mankind. Gay sex isn't right for your personal tastes, so you make every effort to shame, ostracize and isolate those who feel otherwise.
Hard drug use doesn't interest you, so you enthusiastically imprison millions of your fellow men, just because their preferred recreational activities differ from your own. How about live and let live instead? Your way only leads to mass oppression and suffering.

And no, I'm NOT saying that you should be sacrificing your body to the desires of homosexuals in the name of 'tolerance'. I'd rather eat a bullet than eat a dick myself. I'm just saying to respect the right of your fellow man to persue his own happiness however he sees fit. The victimless, recreational activities of consenting adults are none of your business, and certainly not the government's business either.

Look, we can mouth platitudes all day long.

The thing is, as "harmless" as some behaviours may seem to you, they have real world effects. Some very undesirable real world effects.

The funny thing is, I am[/am] letting gays "live" (and let live) - where have I suggested killing them? Your problem is that you've been lead to believe it's impossible to criticize a group, or - gulp - to dislike a group, without wishing genocide on that group.

I have a personal dislike of their behaviour, but I can certainly tolerate - in the true sense of the word - their existence. What I really abhor is this praise that's heaped on them; the celebration of "alternative" lifestyles, the - oh I'm not gonna repeat myself a thousand times.

Look. You couldn't give a crap about society. "Societies" are all about "collectivism" to you, and collectivisim is the worst thing that could ever happen. We'll just have to disagree.

Quote from Sparohok:
What women want most of all is a powerful man, even one with few other graces. What else explains womens' willingness to stay with partners who treat them like crap, who display none of the sensitivities women claim they desire, yet who satisfy their deepest yearning to belong to a dominant male?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More than anything, this reveals the type of women you hang out with. What you describe is common among women who grew up in broken homes, with alcoholic parents, or were victims of sexual abuse. Behavior like this has much more to do with a woman's father than her husband.

So all those glamorous model types seeking rich, powerful men come from broken homes? Interesting.

.Sort of like how feminists charge a "sexually charged workplace" thing. I want none of it.

You seem to be equating feminists and glamorous models, both of which you want no part of?

I can understand avoiding the humorless feminists, but the glamour models...

How am I equating feminists and glam models? All I said about glam models was they seem to go for rich, powerful men. How could you infer from this that I want no part of them? (On the contrary, I do, I do want a part of them! Mmm mmm!)

No, they're just capitalists. They have an asset and are looking for the highest bidder.

And who's to blame them? Heck, I wouldn't mind finding mystelf a sugar momma so I wouldn't have to sit in front of this computer all day. :)
