broke/ unemployed and out of options so i signed up for the military.

read the 19 pages of this thread with great interest.

Sometimes, military is not entirely a choice.

A thought for those who didn't come back...

One piece of advice I wish to insert into this thread. I think the military cannot help you unless you address your own issues first.

Why are you broke and unemployed? Are you really unemployed now through no fault of your own or were there other issues involved? Have you actually tried to get a job? I mean sit down for 8 hours per day sending out emails, calling and responding to ads?

What do you like about the military? Do you really know the real life of someone in the military?

You cant simply escape to the military and have your own issues resolved. I say to first talk it over with some relatives and get your issues resolved. Then talk to at least 3 people in the military frankly about the life. Resolve your issues and make sure you know what to expect.

Quote from MKTrader:

Clinton Era was only good times because it was gridlocked after 1994 and he was much more pragmatic than Maobama. It had nothing to do with Democratic ideology.

Yes, George W. and the neo-con spenders started some of this, but Obama's spending and econ destruction path is going way above and beyond.

Fox is the only lamestream channel that will call Obama on anything, so that's why they get all the hate.

Obama is the scapegoat of the republicans, the ones who destroyed the American Dream.
