British Mag: U.S. Constitution ‘Outdated, Malfunctioning Piece Of Junk’

Oh wow Amon.. In the chaos after the collapse of the Ottoman.. and US support for Saud...That is.. truly.. I'm lost for words!

You are the perfect grasping fool.

And the Bush.. wow.

You got all that from infowars?

I don’t do infowars.

And obviously your grasp on history is weak.

And obviously your grasp on history is weak.

If a person is Irish but rises to defend the British having lorded over other countries and colonies, it make you wonder if such a person might not be familiar with several chapters of his own history.

At the core of the Constitution is "home rule." I wonder if that concept has ever been discussed in Northern Ireland.

Just sayin.

Yeah...that is probably right, Infowars would be an improvement over whatever is in your head.

There is no fixing the kind of ignorance hole you are in over the internet. You would take something as sacred and piss on it another moment Amon.

I have always thought of you as Treefrog II, but you are by far the bigger coward.

Done. On ignore, you are too disgusting.

That subservient person would be an Omega.

You jokes did not even notice that this is not the British magazine. Look at the author. Looks pretty American to me.

There is a very different UK version (very minor player), theweek.co.uk

I was wondering, I lived in the UK for a bit and could hardly recall this minor magazine.

“One of the biggest problems with the Constitution as written is it makes changing anything nearly impossible..."

Not a "problem" but rather a strength. The genius Founders wanted to make it difficult for the "rule of the land" to be changed willy-nilly. (The Constitution has built-in protocol for its change.... just get the legislature to pass a bill to amend the Constitution and then get 75% of the states to ratify. IOW... if the country REALLY wants some change, it can get it. But none of this "50% +1" to change it for everybody crap! In case one has forgotten, or never knew... America is NOT a democracy... but rather a Republic with rules of law. And thank goodness for that!)

Of course the Lefty-Globalists disdain the Constitution... it's the antithesis of all the power and control (everything) they want.... and what the Founders wanted to make IMPOSSIBLE to attain.... which, in case one hasn't noticed, is what made America great AND THE ENVY OF THE WORLD, BTW.

This is always an interesting conversation that has come up for as long as we have been living under the constitution. Take for instance there are “conservatives” kicking around the 14th amendment right of birthright citizenship. And no different for liberals with 2nd amendment gun rights since 2008.

Here’s the kicker, often when the will of the people cannot make a change to the constitution because of the difficulties of the amendment process, we forfeit that power to the courts. Think about that.

The point is it is not cut and dry good that the constitution is difficult to amend. It is very much akin to the frustration of trying pass major legislation through the Senate.
