We're all in trouble. I say Canada and England join the U.S. as the 51st and 52nd states (French speaking Canadians would have to quit speaking French, of course).

Hell, Mexico isn't so bad (by Mexico I mean all Spanish speaking countries south of the U.S. border). They'll learn English quick enough, they can be the 53rd state. We now have a new world order. Problem solved.

keep dreaming. who wants to join the big loser? why not break up the US by states which have a deficits vs. states which have a surplus. why not give the states in the southwest with a large spanish speaking population back to mexico. why don't the energy rich states like north dakota, wyoming utah join canada and become the blue eyed bandits of opec.

just for the record the canadian banking system is in good shape because they didn't join the sub prime mortgage party of US banks + Canada runs a trade surplus.

Join??

Are you kidding, the best thing that could happen is a secession of the Union. This would allow the healthy states to carry forward without the dead weight of all the socialist states, Like NY, and CA.

In addition that resulting destruction of the Federal government and a stronger state model, will a federall alliance for defense purpose, ala NATO. would be an instant economic shot in the arm.

Oh and Fuck the UK, the Limeys are getting what they deserve.

Remember the 5th of Novemember.

Perhaps you could use a modern day Guy Fawkes who actually succeeds

You see strength in secession? Do you realize the combined GDP of NY and CA is approximately equal to Germany, the 3rd ranked country in the world? Which state do you live in, Alabama or Mississippi?
