Britain Has No Clue Why It’s Punishing Russia

There are two competing theories here.

One, false flag op. Why in the world would the Russians use a nerve gas that would be instantly traced back to them? They had numerous opportunities to kill this spy. They held him in prison. His daughter was just in Russia apparently. If they wanted to kill them, why do it in a park in the UK?

Two, to make an example. They did it fully expecting the method to mark them as the killer. They did it to send a clear signal to anyone else thinking about getting out of line. They see the Brits as such wimps, they had no fear of any retaliation.

I know some former KGB guys (if there is such a thing as a former KGB guy :) ) most of them think that it was done by former intelligence guys and it was not a Putin's suctioned attempt.

You mean like John McCain, they're still reliving the Cold War? A rogue attempt at payback? But how would they get their hands on nerve gas? And if they had some lying around, would they waste it like this?

I'm not disputing it, it is an interesting theory. Bottom line is the US and the UK are acting like they have a lot of conviction. I don't see how that's possible.

oh no, no

they are not reliving any war.. but it was probably a revenge

It appears that Skripal's betrayal could cost some people in intelligence their careers, money and maybe lives.

and somebody did not forgive that fact

The nerve gas that was used was not produced by professional manufacturers, otherwise Skripal and his daughter would be dead already. By all accounts it was a "homemade" product, produced in some private lab. The know-how is there, people who can do that for money also available.

He definitely could be killed quietly , or his murder could of been even masked as a suicide, the way many famous Russians killed there... but it appears that it meant to be a signal to other potential traitor-spies from their colleges in Russia: if Putin will not kill you - we will, and do not expect that any exchange will save your skin.

While Trump plays sycophant to Putin we know what Bolton would like to do...
Another Trump selection.
Trump better keep Bolton busy on Iran.
