don, i only respond in kind if someone is being a smartass , they need be responded to. i always try to be positive, but unfortunately some people want to act up. it woud be great if everyone on here would have some respect, to avoid any outbursts, then again we are talking about et, some can't respect the don on here, then their is no hope for the rest of us.. we should all try to get along, but many want to play games..

Whoa, relax killer...i wasn't trying to be smart at all. My comment was meant to suggest that the series 7 really isn't that difficult with adequate preparation and not a major hurdle for any serious trader that wants to be doing this as a career. I learned quite a few things while studying for the test, what's so bad about that?

HI GG.. the statement i could learn something maybe was misunderstood, since your now clarifying then, peace.. their are too many wise guys on here that don't write anything positive & should play elsewhere.. as you know.. i was just stating that taking the series7 test has no benefit to daytrading in making money, just a must to join some firms.. since you mentioned, what can someone learn by taking the test from your experience that you found helpful? curious .. thanks.
Well being Canadian a lot of the regulations and legal aspects were foreign to me...that and many of the topics covered were on subjects I knew little about, such as bonds.
Obviously the series 7 itself will have little value in becoming a better trader (and in my case in Canada it's useless), but the extra work in preparation has made me that much more committed to my trading.
Speaking of Canadian, I posted this in the Toronto hook up thread.
A quick request to all Ontario traders, please. As many of you many know, we have been trying to get the Ontario Securities Commission to approve U.S. trading firms for years. We are setting up a meeting soon, and have a bunch of letters and emails asking for the Commission to consider the U.S. firms (and Bright in particular to begin with), so that Ontario traders have a choice, and options in pursuing their careers in trading.
If anyone would like to help, simply send me an email to donbright@brighttrading.net and say something like "I would like to explore trading with Bright" - nothing commital or anything, just a vague request.
