wrangler, green flash is one nice eatery and bar for the locals, but your post has very likely guaranteed that the place will be peppered with paparazzi...and traders... this "Wed, Thur, Fri". Now this...just after the holiday crowd had moved on!

Does this mean that if I am short $100,000 of stock I not only do not pay interest but I *receive* interest?

I am not part of Don's firm, but generally when you are short stock you receive interest on the cash from the sale, but also PAY margin interest on the value of the borrowed stock (which hopefully will be going down). So really it just lowers your expense a bit as you are (hopefully obviously) making less in MM interest than you are paying in margin interest.
