Look, do you really want the Forum to be filled with all the prop firms soliciting business? If Brights do it, why not all the other firms? Then what? Do you really what that shit to clog up bandwidth?

At least some of the firms have enough class to just pay for the advertising, give their phone number, and do business in the proper manner.

P.T. Bright and company have zero class that I can see.

U have a point to an extent. u r right, I dont want bandwith filled with unnecessary marketing. In fact I am king of Muting TV commercials because I hate being marketed to so much.

I would hate to have all the prop firms clogging the threads with self-promotion krapola, but the name of the thread is ........

and the First post was "why is everyone so against Bright Trading".

So if there are good reasons, I want to be in the first row of the stone throwing crowd, trust me. but right now I am trying to whittle down firms. so many out there just trying to get LLC $$ from anyone that thinks they can make it. In the end I dont think Bright will be for me because of my option trading intentions.

I dont want to hedge completely, so most of this banter doesn't apply specifically to my trading style, but when I decide on a swing trade, and I want to sell some time value also, the ability to trade options becomes very important. I also dont want to be forced to close out a position because the Trading Manager needs to free up buying power for some other trader to daytrade stocks with. Suffering the Bid/Ask spreads on Multiple legs in addition to expensive commissions could be detrimental.

ANYWAY, When I finally settle on a firm, I am at least trying to get close to the right one............
 
Wouldn't it be nice if you could ask you questions about Bright trading firm here, and just get opinions from traders, and not the Marketing Director of the firm?

They you could call Bright, have a talk, and come back here and discuss it with disinterested parties, people who have no economic interest in the outcome.

To me, that is what these forums are all about.

When someone is involved, who has a financial interest in convincing you to come to their firm, they are never to be trusted. You have to look at them with a very jaundiced perspective, and when Don comes in here and constantly hawks his firm, it is just an invasion of our privacy.

It is so unethical, and so classless, I just can't tell you.

The fact that you are even considering them, seeing how they do their sales and marketing should tell you all you need to know about their real character.

Don tries to belittle those who are criticizing him, it is all about salesmanship, about the end result of recruiting fresh meat.

Try to see what is really going on.

...could'nt agree more with you...Don you just continue on asnwering people's questions as some us here really appreciate your time and answer's ...Optional777 they do have a button where you can "ignore" certain poster's feel free to use it...no one is making you read Don's post's.

Couldn't hold back as Don has helped me immensly in the past, both through personal emails and on these boards and I appreciate his efforts, I can deal with the marketing hype.

Don, when I read this, I didnt appreciate it because the fact is that the guys on the floor are making a tight spread which is a GOOD thing which should entice OPTIONS business in a tough climate.
The fact that Bright trading "hasnt bothered getting set up with good pricing and execution" only shows another drawback to your firm, However it does seem to fit in well with your redi plus and seat charges.

I never said he was rude, just classless and unethical. Some of the most polite people still are classless and ethical in their approach to business, it is just their M.O.

If you really need me to pull up a post, where Don makes a snide (aside) comment about a critic, I would be happy to post it here.

I am as anti-guru as anyone else. I joined ET specifically to bash one person.

I was in the chat room one day, and was struck by your rude attack on him. Plus, you just keep pushing and pushing. You appear to simply have a personal vendetta against him, especially since he is the only one you bash. There are plenty of sponsors posting here.

Actually, I am very pro Guru. I don't think anyone can progress without one.

However, when a "guru" uses their status to market their business, their real "guruship" is marketing, not what they market.
 
Gee, 777.....It seems that you stepped in it again....I really wish you would stop promoting your own insecurities and childish behavior on the board. Maybe you should ask yourself "what do my posts do for the board" (other than to give others a laugh, and to help me promote my business.....which I think is awfully nice of you! )....come on, get a grip....I don't mind exchanging comments, but gee, it gets a bit boring after a while.
