Quote from stereo70:
Needing to have knowledge about your field is kind of a given, don't ya think?
Edge is the key in trading. Are you disputing that?
These generalized "semantic" arguments are really absurd. [/B]
If you have a need to be right we'll go with your word "Edge" ... I have a method I use, it evolves over time, that's my terminology. But you're right about one thing ... your comment about "semantic" arguments was a perfect example of such since you think "edge" is the correct term.
Quote from goldenarm:
Knowledge is vastly overrated. I knew a ton of traders with a great deal of knowledge about the markets but couldn't trade their way out of a paper bag. Knowledge is nothing without the ability to act quickly and decisively to what's going on in the quote screen. Discipline is also far more important than knowledge.
Quote from Maverick74:
Knowledge? WTF are you talking about? You think it takes knowledge to make money. Oh jesus, If only that were so. If that were the case, that "knowledge" could be packaged and sold to millions. Give me a break. Obviously another newbie fresh off the seminar circuit and probably has a copy of the latest TA book by his bedside. Yeah, keep searching for that knowledge, that's all it takes.
No, I think the word you were referring to was an edge, knowledge is worthless.
