That "rumor" made no sense. Why would someone come in and peg the offer for almost three points in less than one minute? Even if they were rumored to be getting bought out, it wouldn't make sense to move the stock 120% in 45 seconds.
Looked like an obvious order entry mistake followed by some shady news reporting of a rumored buyout.

I think the trade over $5 must have been a bad tick, or an erroneous trade. I couldn't find it in time & sales.
