I don't care what anyone says. The fact is that, historically, mostly white men have chosen mostly white men, and not necessarily based solely on merit. I don't dispute that the past chosen ones had merit, but I question whether they were necessarily the most capable among all of the potential candidates. And so, there has historically been a bias of one kind or another, tipping in favor of white guys. An affirmative action, if you will, over the generations. Time's up.
You missed my point, though:Well -- go explain your POV to left-leaning Slate and the many other left-leaning publications saying the exact same thing.

Funny how that works, isn’t it?
It doesn’t matter though because you’ll never, ever understand what you’re doing anyway.
Like I said to @TreeFrogTrader youre incapable of understanding how making higher standards once a person of color is being considered for a position is in fact racist.
They wanted to see Obama's transcripts even though he was president of the Harvard Law Review. Meanwhile, Trump threatened to sue his schools if they released his transcripts, and ipatent et al didn't even blink.
We make standards way too high for people of color so that if they are not perfect it somehow is a reflection on all black people. While white people are allowed to fail endlessly and other white people are giving a chance without a second thought. It has to stop.
It's like you don't even hear yourself talking. Lucky you. It's the other way around. Biden wants many/most of his nominees in all sorts of positions to just get a slight examination and then a nod because he has established that they are skin color or trans or something.
Why? Who did they rape?I think where we agree is that I have said several times that I want to see all of Biden's nominees treated just like Kavanaugh.
