They don't realise that not respecting the will of the people is undemocratic and they are actually supporting an EU that is anti-democratic.

The UK will be the first of many to jump ship before an absurd back door dictatorship is dismantled.

As a smart politician in UK noted, saying the British are anti-european is like saying people who are anti-FIFA are anti-football.

Don't be misled. What is being said to the press is what MUST be made public to dissuade others. For the moment the talk needs to be tough. It will soften over time.

The conversations being held in private will be very different. The feelers are already out to establish a compromise. There are a lot of smoke and mirrors in play here.

May is not an extrovert and so appears any unlikely choice. However, I think her experience will win it for her. That coupled with the fact she was in the Remain camp.

Whoever they put in place needs to be able to go into negiotions and say "I was with you. But we lost. Now let's see what we can build out of this mess."

The Labour situation is beyond a joke. Personally I would like to see the moderate Tory MPs and Labour MPs split and form a third centrist party. However, I don't think the Westminister structures have been shaken hard enough for that to happen.

I love the mediterranean countries but how on earth can countries like UK & Germany have a fiscal union with them, the idea is absurd. Now they are prisoners in the EU dictatorship. The Labour situation is beyond a joke. Personally I would like to see the moderate Tory MPs and Labour MPs split and form a third centrist party. However, I don't think the Westminister structures have been shaken hard enough for that to happen.

I can also see a new party forming, all depends on whether Corbyn wins 2nd vote, if so then Labour is left in the abyss. Lib Dim leader was revealing when asked a question along these lines a couple of days ago (i.e. suggesting that the Remain side had enjoyed working together, cross party). So it could be a "progressive" liberals movement with lots of pro-Europe, centrist MPs.

You may want to seek some firm ground here because what you are saying is far from reality. Maybe you should watch the YEARS of tirades by Nigel Farage in the European parliament. He called probably every last of his colleagues names that is beyond imagination and basic respect. He alienated everyone around him. He insulted everyone in the worst possible way. Look at all the youtube footage and you will see what in reality happened. Please find me one single video recording where Juncker insulted or called Farage names. What you are saying is simply not true.

Jump ship implies you know where you jump to. So far nobody even offered you anything and the only bridge you can build is to Europe, I doubt you will get any equally good deal by the Americans to start with.
