I just checked and able to enter orders btw, accepted migration to IBIE 1 week ago although it might not yet be finalized.
Didn´t need to send any doc so far, just confirm former personal details and accept a few agreements, all done easily online.

Tried to login first time with the desktop app this week and didnt let me to connect.
then try the website, the same didnt let me trade from there either, Message "no permision etc".
Login again after 2 min and i was able to trade as IBKR. Some kind of glitch i guess or was the exact time they did the transfer.

I never liked anything about brexit...

But at least now from the UK we can again trade USA ETFs and leveraged products as a retail traders without being classified as a professional.

Professional in regards to trading leveraged products is different from professional in other matters.

Unless you're an institutional investor I wouldn't count on it as the unavailability of US ETFs to EU retail clients is due to an EU regulatory requirement for a KID that US ETF issuers couldn't meet. So IBIE/IBLUX/IBCE will still be bound by those rules. If anything now that the UK is no longer in the EU, since the withdrawal agreement doesn't cover financial services there's a slight possibility that US ETFs may now be offered by IBUK if the FCA allows divergence from the EU's PRIIPs requirement for KIDs.

Thank you for the clarification. Not that I am interested in trading leveraged products, but I thought it was restricted for the same regulations.

Interesting.. My accounts still appear to be with IBUK although I can't trade US ETFs, just the options on ETFs as was always the case anyway. So maybe they have already made the transition to IBIE behind the scenes for us but they haven't gotten around to updating the interface yet. Now if only they would lift the damn PDT restrictions which still seem to be in place.
