This is true, but not decades later. At that point, timelines and third party accounts are pointless and the victim is almost always facing an uphill battle for not coming forward before. Add to this the various third party testimony against Ford, and the witness goes from credible to questionable.

Not only is she questionable, when you dive into her story she sounds like a highly partisan hack..... republicans made the mistake of putting the "Kiddy gloves" on when they dealt with her....... her story has been absolutely destroyed, and just for convenience sake, she deleted all of her social media accounts.....

Geeee i wonder why a woman came forward and faked being raped at the 13th hour when democrats were claiming women were going to die in "back alley" abortions if Kavanaugh was confirmed......

FBI background checks only rely on direct witnesses when investigating events placed in a background check file.

Those allegations are not the source of contention, Blasey-Ford is. I’m not sure if Fox News is focused on the allegations at the margins but I assume that is why you keep bringing them up.
