How many people are hospitalized with the common cold? How many people die of the common cold each year? How many people have lingering health issues from the common cold months later?

There is a reason that deaths, hospitalization, and long term health effects for the common cold are never in the news. It is because they are so rare. Unlike COVID-19 where all of these are common.

If they were so rare then they would be in the news. They'd be newsworthy. Old guy dies from the flu and everyone goes "shame, man. he died of the flu..." and that's the end. People die from COVID and it is trumpeted to the world.

COVID is in the news precisely because of it being a narrative.

Ideally both Trump and Pence will die so we can finally get our first woman president (Pelosi) and SCOTUS won’t be turned into a right-wing dream. People might call me sick for saying I hope they die, but I don’t care, there’s more important things at stake than their lives plus they deserve it. One led to thousands of deaths through negligence/lack of empathy for others on Coronavirus, the other said smoking didn’t kill, because he was bought and paid for by the tobacco industry. Not going to feel bad or shed a single tear for either of these terrible people who have and will continue to contribute to the death of many people as long as they have power. Biden and Harris can say they’re praying for them, I sure as hell wouldn’t.

I couldn’t care less, I’m saying what I believe. Trump has killed so many people not in defense of protecting freedom or anything, but based on being asshole so he deserves it. You can pray for our president who continuously lies about the virus to the people and feel better about yourself though.
