Breaking: Russian nuclear deterrent on alert :BBC

I can't under any circumstances see a happy ending or favourable ending for Putin from here. And that's very frightening.

Russia as a nation could still recover from this if this madman was somehow overthrown or assasinated from the inside.

Agree, no way Putin will withdraw his forces, if he does he is personally done.

He won't withdraw. If a Russian puppet is installed, the forces remain in the country as an occupying force, sorry, "peacekeepers", the same "peacekeepers" who are shelling civilians right now.

And I also cannot see how Ukraine could agree to any peace deal with Russian forces to stay on their territory...
Only solution seems to be to fight it out, hopefully "only" with conventional weapons ... Still a long and bloody war

I have been a trader for a long time. And even in the most irrational markets you can find a kernel of reason behind why people are doing irrational things. But the run up on Friday afternoon leaves me baffled. The SP futures got into the low 50’s a few times and then despite being 130 handles off the globex lows they run it up to 4380 on the close. Who wanted to be long over a weekend after a 2 day 300 pt 8% rally with a nuclear war beckoning. I cannot figure out who that trader is.
I have too, and I totally agree, but when you see something that crazy, on that much volume, (ie not a squeeze) there can only be one choice. Buy it. When I got home last night I was sure the naz futures would be green, I couldn't believe my eyes. That's why I made that post without even taking time to capitalize the letters in it. Last night was a gift.
