Maybe you can take some time to explain to some of the morons on this board how cops are trained to shoot including where on the body and how many times. Also, if a cop shoots at someone, what is his/her goal? Also, what constitutes a justifiable homicide by law enforcement.
Clearly, the the libtards on this board are not being properly informed by their brain washers on MSNBC.
Bold mine.
Sure. All US law enforcement officers are trained to aim for center of mass, unbroken by cover. Breaking it down:
Suspect advancing: shoot for center of mass, which will be the torso.
Suspect is turned to his right or left side: the target just got smaller, but torso, again.
For the strange shootings I've seen/studied:
Suspect laying under pick up truck shooting at Troopers, and all that can be seen is the top of his head, part of a left shoulder, and part of a right shoulder: the head, as that's now become center of mass.
Suspect peeping out of a window while taking shots at police: Trooper who's trained with an M1A1; shot the suspect above the right eye as that was now center of mass.
One I'd rather forget: 911 call to rural, redneck/biker type bar for "man with gun in dispute with girlfriend, and other undisclosed white males. Crowd gathering in gravel lot."Arrive on scene; approach suspect who draws revolver at approaching Trooper at 7-8 feet distance. Shots fired center of mass, meaning torso.
