BREAKING NEWS: NUCLEAR ACCIDENT JUST UPGRADED TO LEVEL 6, out of 7.

It makes me you wonder why the experts said it wouldn't be as bad as Chernobyl.

But where have all these experts gone? They're silent...

But you know, I was thinking today, it shouldn't be too hard to get some power and cooling to the fuel rods.

We have goddam robots these days, they sent them to the moon to pick up samples so if the NASA crew get involved surely they can find a solution. Time is not on our side, but I still have faith in the ingenuity of man - provided the Japanese are really getting the right experts involved...

Isn't it a bit archaic having men in white suits conducting the disaster recovery operations? Did anyone not have the foresight to realize that this is exactly the situation where you would want a robot?! Bomb disposal and dealing with radioactive hazards!! I didn't make a giant leap there folks.

How many tonnes in the used fuel storage pool?

Link to .pdf from Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO).

http://www.nirs.org/reactorwatch/accidents/6-1_powerpoint.pdf

The presentation shows on page 9 that there are 10,149 spent fuel assemblies being stored at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant (NPP).

Breakdown by storage method as follows:

Spent fuel at each reactor unit: 3,450

Dry Cask: 408

Common Pool: 6,291

Total: 10,149 assemblies

The TEPCO pdf is quite informative...

It is nothing more than a publicity/morale boosting stunt to show the people at home and around the world that something is being done.

This guy I quoted could be right regarding water from choppers.
Shit I hope things are not that desperate but you never know

Some people on ET asked where the F is the world on this ???
i asked my dad that same question
My dad says to that "no one wants their people irradiated"

Which makes sense considering US army fled like little chickens as soon as they detected Radio-Cloud.

They ran like 80 miles. No one wants to die young.

Chernobyl reactor had 190 tonnes of uranium. Japan has 6 reactors with 100 tonnes each/ 600 tonnes. 100 nukes is just 10 tonnes, if that.
2 days back somebody had said to me there has been an underground explosion. Nuclear weapons are stored underground. There is a possibility that a nuclear bomb has exploded in Japan. Maybe somebody is hiding some information.

Thanks millionaire. I'm not aware of the details, however, isn't a leak different than airborne explosions regardless of the total tonnage? Did 10 tons leak out. Is the entire tonnage of the plant expected to escape?? Thanks!
Dig deep into the reality of the situation here............ http://www.infowars.com/alert-fukushima-coverup-40-years-of-spent-nuclear-rods-blown-sky-high/

See what it looks like when storage pools on the roof of a reactor building go DUST -----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_N-wNFSGyQ&feature=related

They are a de facto member of the nuclear club, but have never built a bomb (don't need to). Assume they did... they store the fucking things under the reactor? Really?
