BREAKING NEWS: NUCLEAR ACCIDENT JUST UPGRADED TO LEVEL 6, out of 7.

Quote from marketsurfer:

Wonder what happened to the radiation from the 100 nuclear bombs dropped in tests over the USA in the 1950's ? Seems to me stocks surged during this time. It's all perception

Chernobyl reactor had 190 tonnes of uranium. Japan has 6 reactors with 100 tonnes each/ 600 tonnes.

100 nukes is just 10 tonnes, if that.

Thanks millionaire. I'm not aware of the details, however, isn't a leak different than airborne explosions regardless of the total tonnage? Did 10 tons leak out. Is the entire tonnage of the plant expected to escape?? Thanks!

Chernobyl suffered a reactor explosion w/o containment, forcing massive amounts of irradiated material high into the atmosphere. The fission ceased days ago (-void) and the radioactive iodine has already decayed by half.

The pools are another story.

Atticus I've seen a report today that helicopter mission to dump water has been called off due to enormous level of radiation. In Chernobyl they used helicopters to dump sand / metal on top of it.

Not to mention two more reactors cooling system failed yesterday.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even issue news if the remaining reactors explode.

Most people probably don't realize that if winds were blowing west. Japan as a country for the next 30 years would be finished.

Jap market would crash

US market would crash

China market would crash

The only reason this whole situation didn't reach World War 2 level of international panic is because 95% of radiation is blown into pacific.

I won't be eating asian imported seafood anymore. This is unbelievable shit :(
