Breaking news: Niederhoffer still in business after market correction!

Quote from Reckoner:

I didn't notice much of discussion, just a lot of name calling and nit picking. Seemed to me like pretty shabby treatment of a great trader and benevolent person, which is why I've been wasting my time here.

Hi, and sorry for my bad english

I have a couple of questions for you as I don¢t have access to the results and strategy followed by VN.

What was his results for may (is -28% accurate)?
What would the results be with his strategy if the S&P had dropped 20 – 25% in May?

Regards

I have tested Vic's assertion with Inventure's Ranger. Let's simply say that nobody would made a decisive bet based upon the output.

PTJ's software from 1996?? what imputs/formula did you use, what was the output and why dont you post the results/graphs. that software certainly makes pretty graphs. you better be prepared to back up these comments. LOL !

I think the same thing should apply to Vic also. He is all the time name calling other people. His site has hundreds of slimy comment about Buffet, Ed Seykota, Tudor Jones, John W Henry, and every other hedge fund manager.
Most of the Vics claim to greatness are his own. Like this claim from latest interview.
"The ridiculous thing, in all candor, is that I think I've had the greatest run of success in the history of speculation," Niederhoffer said.

Hubris Hubris hubris.

Hubris Hubris hubris.

I can't seem to find any equivalents of 'totally pathetic trader', 'disgusting behavior, it shows this man has no integrity.'

It also seems to me that attacking underperforming investment icons may be put into the category of 'deflating ballyhoo' rather than anything personal.

As for the run of success, is it 'hubris' if the description is accurate?

I'm just curious about my theory, that it's LOSERS who are bashing Niederhoffer because they're JEALOUS. But for this we'd need to see the trading results of his detractors. Care to be the first?

Predictions for suckers?

How, pray, do you intend to make money in markets if you don't have some idea of where a market is going, and the odds of it going there? That is what a prediction is. Now one may choose to make them using experience, science, gut, whatever. But without some kind of edge you're going to lose.

So let me see now:
a) You're bashing a great.
b) You don't believe in predictions.
c) You don't want us to know your track record.

a+b+c = loser!
another clue that will be lost on u: if i felt like i had anything to prove to u, i wld be like u, as far as losers i mean...

Yeah, I'll get right on that, hoodoo... and no, the graphs are like vterm output; like you'd know the difference. lmao.

5 consecutive declines, sans mag. Bonds 5d highs, SPX 5d lows.

For info, it isn't my site.

And googling doesn't seem to come up with anything along the lines of what's been posted here.

Anyway, I'm off to take some profits now.

I have the output here... I will be giddy to post it provided profturf will post his model result which produced his long signal; and no, a napkin with "The Stain's" lipstick will not suffice.

My comments were not derogatory -- it was simply to point out that his logic for the buy signal was pretty silly. I hope he hits high water this month, more power to him.
