I get the same thing because I use an ad-blocker which happens to be an image blocker too but the problem is that some user's images I can see.
I think the issue is that if someone links to an image outside of Elitetrader.com or embeds an image from outside Elitetrader.com
Your ad-blocker will not show the image.
In contrast, if someone downloads the image to their computer and then uploads the image as if it were a file by using the "Upload a File" button to insert the image in their message post...
I will be able to view the image.
If you're not using an ad-blocker, security program, or a web browser with its own integrated security...you should be able to see ALL images but it would imply you're on the web (online) without any protection.
I have a list of blocked websites in my browser and if someone links to an image from one of those blocked websites to their message post...I will only see the words [ IMG ].
