Branson (SPCE) and Bezos (AMZN) to Space - Who's buying puts

With Branson and Bezos heading to space, there is always a chance something goes wrong. Is anybody buying some speculative puts?
 
That is called trading in anticipation,
or trading based on hope.
Some call it trading based on prediction or using forsight.

Other traders who don't have powerful crystal balls
trade by reacting to the chart.

I will pass on the AMZN puts. Calls are expensive enough.

Besides, BEZO's already retired from CEO and the stock only went higher on the news.

IMO ....... The Pentagon scrapping the $10B cloud contract awarded to MSFT is what caused AMZN to surge today. AMZN might get it next time around.

There will be no next time. Pentagon realized there's nothing to be learned from the second kick of the mule. They're ditching the giant contract idea and going with a bunch of smaller contracts that only Amazon and MSFT can bid on. I'm guessing each wins about 50% of the value of the original contract at the end of the day.
