"London (CNN)British police are preparing for "enormous and spectacular" potential attacks on the UK as ISIS moves into its "next natural phase," Britain's senior counterterrorism officer said Monday.

Mark Rowley, assistant commissioner of London's Metropolitan Police, said that in the wake of the Paris terror attacks, ISIS had moved on from a "narrow focus on police and military as symbols of the state, to something much broader."

"You see a terrorist group that has big ambitions for enormous and spectacular attacks, not just the types that we've seen foiled to date," he said, citing as another example the downing of Metrojet Flight 9268.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the bombing of the jet over Sinai in October. All 224 people on board -- most of them Russian -- were killed.

Rowley also mentioned the need for investigators to guard against terrorist attacks like the recent explosion aboard a Somali passenger plane flying above East Africa. The suspected bomber was blown out of the plane and died and two others were injured in that attack, for which the jihadist group Al-Shabaab took responsibility.

In another high-profile terrorist attack,an ISIS cell of gunmen and suicide bombers carried out the massacre in the French capital in November, killing 130 people as they attacked venues including a concert hall, restaurants and a sports stadium..."

Muslim women escorted off JetBlue airlines flight after 'staring at flight attendant'

"Two women in Islamic dress have been removed from a flight after allegedly filming the cabin crew.

The police were called to JetBlue flight 487 on Saturday after landing and escorted them off the aircraft.

The airline has denied the women were ejected because of their presumed religion and says it was it simply paying “due diligence” to security procedures.

Footage of the event, which has now been made private, was posted online by former Wired journalist Mark Frauenfelder.

Mr Frauenfelder’s friend, Sharon Kessler, was a passenger on the Boston to Los Angelesflight.

She said in a Facebook post cited by Mr Frauenfelder that she “overheard a flight attendant tell a co-worker that she didn’t like the way two Muslim women were staring back at her.”

Ms Kessler said that the crew member relayed to a colleague that “she didn't appreciate being stared at – she did not seem rattled or scared – just smug,” Mail Online reported.

“It was a terrible moment, honestly. These women sat quietly, watched movies - it felt like overkill from this flight attendant.”

JetBlue has denied that the ejection occurred because of the women’s religion..."

What do the ISIS people really want?

A new nation with an exclusive territory? If yes, why not simply sell them a territory and allow them to establish a new nation! (Particularly if there is a justification!)

In reality: There were almost unlimited number of business transactions of deals between nations in buying and selling territories in our human history, without any fights or killings!

The transaction price/money can be paid now or in the future!

Most likely, the involved cost (even excluding human lives) of fighting and weapons would cost a lot more than individual transaction price!

Perhaps we need to review the world's economy and political systems!

All this "readiness" and "bracing ourselves", wow... I'm not bothering with it here in the US. Homeland didn't check the Facebook postings of those @ssholes that shot up the Christmas Party in San Bernardino. Russia warned about the guys that bombed the Boston Marathon and it did no good at all... Bomb away cuz I find it hard to give a ratz azz.
