Well I don't trade stocks however but I looking at NKE with a technical eye.. I can't see what the fuss is about? About 78.60 seems an important level however there is hardly murder on the dance floor.

I'd buy some Nike shoes if they were not garbage.

Just got off the phone with a bud that currently has 2 kids in Div 1 schools on athletic scholarships.... he said both of them, and their teams.... are boycotting Nike. Totally serious.
Now he's a Trumpy granted, but his kids think for themselves.
It matters not. As I told Max... NKE is on the DOW... its gonna move with the DOW pretty much.
Their quarter just ended Friday and ER is on the 25th so it won't reflect any possible damage.
We'll see in December.... odds are this too will pass.

I have to say I don't watch American Football because the continuous commercials piss me off. I do watch soccer (no commercials), specifically, European soccer. If players/managers start doing this type of politic activism in the field they are handed economic penalties.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been fined £20,000 for wearing a yellow ribbon in support of jailed Catalan independence leaders.

The Football Association has also warned the former Barcelona boss about his future conduct after he accepted a charge of "wearing a political message".

Mr Guardiola argued wearing the symbol is not political but has accepted it is in breach of the FA's kit and advertising regulations.

He has not apologised for the gesture, but has said he will stop wearing it during domestic matches in order to respect the rules.

The Catalan-born manager will continue to wear the ribbon for pre and post-match media commitments - which is permitted because the FA's regulations refer specifically to the technical area during games.

He can also wear it during Champions League matches, as he did for Wednesday's clash against Basel, because it is not a breach of UEFA codes.

Each league handles things differently. I think this issue got too big for the nfl to manage - unlike other things like ocho cinco’s shoes.

I agree with you about the commercials. If I watch a full game I feel I have wasted my day.

However I do respect Kaepernick for vocalizing what he believed in an effective and peaceful way. He sacrificed everything for it.

Thanks. I don't think anyone is saying that he doesn't have the right to make his racial issues public. But there is a time a place for everything and the NFL and the fans are the ones paying for this little circus.

NIKE can stick to sponsoring people that have trouble with ethics and the law, but getting into patriotic issues at a national stage is not a very wise idea. We shall see if they are able to come ahead, but pissing off a very large portion of the population to make a political statement (against Trump) is borderline stupid.

Trump made the protests about himself by framing it as a patriotic issue. It’s not. Kaepernick isn’t disparaging the troops. He’s very clear about that. That’s why he kneels. The actual protests are about cops killing innocent blacks.

As for a patriotic part of it - trump didn’t mention the issue for over 1 year. He only mentioned it as he started floating his tax plan (the one that was very favorable to the rich). You have to wonder if it’s really about patriotism or if trump is really good at manipulating his base.
