I just unplug the TV. Don't read newspapers either. That's not news. It's noise. 99 % of what I read, hear, or see on TV is meaningless to me.

I saw a few minutes of it this morning.
First story I saw? The Democrats and the S-CHIP bill.
Lots of recaps of the MLB games that I could care less about. Showing off the world's most expensive car in Times Square. Blah, blah, blah.
As to the visuals: the data on the screen is (premarket, pre-0800 ET) was boring and pretty basic -- DJ NDX SP futures and some stock quotes. None of the smaller indices (ER), world indices, commodities, or currencies. Not to mention, it's TOO DAMN SMALL and hard to read, even with my new glasses.
But at least they don't do the CNBC "sound effects" for screen wipes -- at least that I saw. Maybe they will during market hours, but who knows.
Then again, I could care less -- even though I have FNC as an alternative to CNBC, I could care less.....we finally have full Bloomberg TV here!

Just saw a few mins of FBC now that the market's open. I'm not impressed; definately looks more to the retail investor who doesn't know/care about anything other than Dow. Nasdaq, SP numbers. From what I can see, there's no streaming quotes, either, just prices on the "Fox 50" or something like that.
C'est la vie -- it is only day one for them.
Luckily I can now switch to Bloomberg, so I'm happy.
