I can't decide, please help me clarify my daydreams. Opinions on other similar roadsters welcome.
I didn't read through the entire post so maybe someone already recommended this. If you want sheer performance, go with the vette. I drive a 2001 Corvette Coupe and it's definitely a nice ride. I've driven all the others as well (Boxster, Z3, Z4, 911 Turbo, Carrera, SL500, etc) and performance-wise the C5 is hard to beat for the $. If you just want a small fun drop-top, be sure to test drive the Honda S2000 as well. I think it's quicker than the Z4 and the Boxster. An overall good package would be the Boxster S in my humble opinion. Good handling, decent power, and you get the name of PORSCHE :D

nitro,

instead of an MP3 player, how about satellite radio combined with an apple Ipod for the ultimate music system ?? i have XM radio in my range rover, no Ipod connection yet--- but i am planning on it. 500 watts harmon kardon, no commercials, bloomberg, never knowing what song will play next ( XM ) , and a kick butt power bass---- does not get much better !

enjoy !!

Wha wha wha?

Chromed out rims, playstation, MTV?????? I can't stand Chrome, I don't play video games, but I admit to watching MTV once in a while :D I want to be a Samurai? I LOVE samurai movies, specially the one with the blind samurai (what's the name of that movie again?) - being a samurai?

Dude, I want an MP3 player!!!! If Bluetooth does everything it promises to do, I won't have to do anything - just walk into my car, turn on the MP3 player, and the .MP3 will play out my car stereo.

In September, BMW is introducing a retro-fit kit that will allow bluetooth enabled phones to interact with it's onboard computer. So I will be able to walk into my car, and answer the phone thru the steering wheels phone button and the sound comes thru the hands off system (this should be the law anyway, and it may be soon.)

I do like "gadgets" that make my life easier or adds to the quality of my driving experience. The only thing I won't stick in my car is a tv. I like to leave time for letting my daugther daydream, or letting her getting used to classical music, or simply having her talk to me. The TV would surely ruin all that.

Surf,

I have XM already in the beamer. It works right off the car radio. I have Bloomberg on all the time, except when my daughter or wife are in the car.

I could have opted for the Harmon Kardon sound system, but I knew that eventually, I would probably stick in a premium sound system in the car and didn't want to double pay. On a car like the BMW that is so quiet, it is definetly worth it...

But what is this about being able to hook up an MP3 to/thru the XM? If I understood you correctly, I did not know you could do that!

Thanks error,

I will look into it further...

No clue, but that site seems to be the right place to find out stuff about BMW's...same place I got the pics of the golf clubs in the Z4.

Since the MP3 issue is not exclusive to the 3 series, you could try looking on the threads for the other cars. I know the z4 has the same setup, and maybe the 5 series does as well. Just more places to look.

Some guys give their instuctions on how to do things with pictures. A guy on the z4 did with a Phatbox, whatever that is. Also they talked about a new IPOD attachment that does a wireless thing and plays through your car stereo on an FM channel.

Good luck, and good trading,

Peace,
:)RS

It's an '02 Z06 and I feed it a steady diet of Cobras like the one in the pictures you posted. :) Do you have any connection to that one? It looks nice.
