Bought Acb Calls

I rebought puts on ACB and held it around the 11's. It just dropped another 15% in AH. Why couldn't it tank in market hours?

Good news .....In 95% of the cases a 15% drop during AH or the pre-market will hold for the following regular market hours.

Seems to be a huge disadvantage on certain options that only make sharp moves after market is closed.

  • That is the advantage of options. Sharp moves of the underlying during AH and the pre-market.
  • Nice quick profit.

both.. why did you choose calls instead of shares?
Simple, you can make a ton more in options if it moves in your direction and you get to define your risk. It just suits my tastes more.

Also, the commissions are much cheaper. With stocks it costs me .005 per share ($1 minimum). With options it's about 60 cents per contract. I am cutting my commission costs by 70%-80% when I trade options vs stocks and no longer find myself overtrading.

“I sold it at 1:45 AM PST when it blew past $14.5 you could see the Shorts and Sellers pilling in. Weed stocks should have been bought when people like Ken C was telling us two weeks ago to think about a Democrat scenario. Republicans are against libertarian ideals so don’t think they won’t screw with Weed” posted yesterday.

Sold the puts of ACB for a 220% gain. Thought it would hit 4's but it started curling at lunchtime and hit a high of 8.27.

I don't know about everyone else but it's been quite difficult to find plays this week. It was much easier the week before the election.

The chart on LYFT gives me a headache.

  • Every week there is plenty of trading opportunities with AAPL, GOOGL, AMZN, NFLX, FB, TSLA and QQQ.
  • Option trading opportunities with ACB will quickly fade but keep an eye on the above.

Right, optionality works "better" with underlyings that have billions in capital flowing in and out of, rather than smaller entities with not as much liquid flow. Thus we can say options are an instrument of liquidity as well as volty
