Bought 100 shares of Google today...

Good/fair return...Boring yeah, industry leader...Yeah.

Bought it for $92.70...Then did a covered call for the Jan 24 $93.. I got $16.90 ($1,690.) for it. Sit and wait on a quality stock. Just me...
 
Just curious why you went with that Jan 24 call rather than selling monthly options for around 3 bucks +/-. Do it 7 times over the next year and you would gain more premium and have the flexibility to adjust.
I am not criticizing your trade; maybe I am missing something. (wouldn't be the first time)

Only risk I see is AMZN tanking but should stay above 90 this week. I have to ask... why not simply short the 93 put? Save on a new bucks on NBBO.
 
Already got Google covered trades for a while but bought AMZN June 2023 $100 call today and sold a $125 weekly expiring tomorrow, same as MSFT trades yesterday.

Poor man’s “leap” strategy works most of the time.

Stuck in the BFD mode. Dips have been more than dips lately, ya know.

NDX lost 75% in dotbomb. Is it going to happen again? Prolly not likely, but probs are not zero.

Checked on the net..."Set it and forget it". It was a Ronco ad from years ago. I am NOT an active trader. Find a good entry (on quality), then do a leap. I'm playing with my grand kids right now. Do you really think I want to be glued to my computer...
