Boston Globe - Obamacare sucks / debacle

http://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/...e-albatross/DXKt7O0xSo6ARTBUM8kkUI/story.html

The Affordable Care Act turned four this week, as unpopular as ever. It has been underwater in hundreds of national polls, frequently by double-digit margins. Americans don’t like it any better now than they did back when Democrats muscled it through Congress over unified Republican opposition.

By its proponents’ own empirical benchmarks, Obamacare has been a debacle. The rosy promises about no one being forced to change doctors or health plans have been ditched. So has the enticing prospect of $2,500 premium reductions for every family. Instead, the “Affordable” Care Act in most states is driving up underlying premiums, even doubling them in some parts of the country.

Voters rewarded the GOP for standing fast against the law four years ago, and there is a growing sense that they’re going to do so again this fall. Obama has been warning Democrats for months that they are likely to “get clobbered” at the polls this November. It’s not just widespread disapproval of the president’s signature legislation that makes his party so vulnerable — it’s the intensity of that disapproval. “The people who favor Obamacare, which is a minority, aren’t really that enthusiastic about it even if they favor it,” says political analyst Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia. “But the majority who oppose Obamacare are much more charged up, and they’re the people who tend to turn out” for midterm elections.

If Odumbo were actually intelligent he'd be aggressively starting a dialogue as to HOW to change his horrible Odumbocare so that the Dems might have a chance ijn the fall elections. But his ego gets in the way. Good for us .... hopefully we can throw out the bums who support this nonsense. Although Mr. Dictator will do everything thing he can, including illegal crap, to try to minimize the fallout until after the 2014 midterms and he appears to be trying to push out things to 2016 with some of his recent unilateral decisions.

They should just call it the "EBT Care Act" because its whole purpose was to get welfare recipients insured at the expense of everyone else.

After learning that my Sons (I adopted, but ARE the SAME as my Son), are moving in with me and my biological Son here in FL, I'm wondering wtf am I supposed to do besides send court-ordered $$$$ to my ex-Wife monthly for Onazi "care" while I challenge this nonsense. And even though she agrees it's nonesnse, but yes, wants her $$$ at the same time... Any of you ever thought about re-locating the moon? Damn!!!! This shit is over the top in what was ONCE a "free" Country 100yrs ago...

I'll PROMISE one thing! If any of you see me with a woman in a wedding dress any time soon, I'm holding her for the cops! End of story! Period!

That and the fact Odumbo has no fucking clue how to improve Obamacare.

Odumbo and Obamacare never had any correlation to "health" anything.

The law's REAL objectives...

1. Control over people to control their vote

2. Raise taxes/revenues

In that regard, the law is perfect the way it stands. Achieves its objectives, no "improvement" needed.

The Associated Press-GfK survey finds that 26 percent of Americans support the Affordable Care Act.

But the idiots in DC will ignore the massive opposition. Of the 26% who supports it? Most likely those getting massive subsidies, those on Medicaid and the ultra liberal. The rest can see what lies ahead down the road in the way of out of control premium increases, fewer doctors, less choice on hospitals/facilities and more out of pocket $$$ from everyone covered.
