Boredom in Trading

Quote from GS19:

I play video gamer on one computer and trade on the other. Sometimes the market is easier then the video game.

All my computers have been occupied by trading software, real-time data quotes, charting. No room for video games or my computer will lock up. :D

Convincing family is a the hardest task in the planet, even after trading. :(

They won't even understand what a trader is about. They always hope you could get a "decent & stable" job instead.

What they understand is that market is for sharks. Whoever gets in, whoever gets slaugthered. However they miss the very point that I'm actually one of the shark in the market. :p

Trading can be a very stable job too.

You think telling about become a trader sucks? Try telling them you will quit your stable and well paying job to start a business that requires a very large start up capital. If the business fail, you basically has to start from scatch and may take years to pay back the loans.

On the other hand, you might miss a trade when playing with your lovely dog. :p [/B]

I only play with it, when I am already in a position, stop loss is in place, thus I just have to wait to play out.

On the other hand I forgot to mention, that I have the chatroom and we strategize/analyze there and change useful infos.

Is it a trailing or fixed stop-loss?

Chatting room? You are fortunate.

I'm always lonely.
No one around can help me. Everything on my own.

Not a good point, buddy!

They will argue that's why they think you should get a job, not be your own boss. :D

Back to topic.

Watching the market never bore me, unless the market is very choppy.

For example, today the mini dow shoot up 100 points from 3pm to 3:30 and then down 100 point from 3:30 to close. That's excitement. Too bad I wasn't in it, too busy on the phone with the travel agency.
