Thanks Paddler, but that doesn't seem to change anything.

The Genesis RS criteria seems to work differently than the one from IBD or stocktables. It can not be used as a useful filter.

you are correct.

I have created an accurte RS filter for TN.

there you see the Universe is about 95 stocks.

To have the proper sorting using a filter, the EPS and RS percentiles are very important.

for the RS use two points in about a year.

The description of the formula is on page 30 of "24 Essential Lessons....."

The TN looks like a 65 day something and seems to relate to a shochastic maybe. The indicators on TN are set to a pre PC era for come reason. Be careful since there is no synchronicity.

the formula to use is:

RS standard = ((close.240 -close) / close.240) * 100

It is expressed as a percent and it is NOT expressed as a sorted percentile value. But the formula used as a criteria can be sorted as a percentile by using the percentile gizmo on TN filtering.

Our objective is to have a qualified Universe where stocks all look a like.

the top of the list is attached.

How can I download or reproduce that filter?

Next steps:

1. Those 95 stocks need to get a PVAD score.
2. DU, FRV and PKG need to be calculated.
3. Stocks with a PVAD score of 0 AND volume < DU need to be ranked
4. Those stocks with highest ranks go to a hotlist
5. Stocks in hotlist are monitored the next day to see if volume reaches FRV in the first 1.5 hours of the trading day.

Once a person has a Universe to look at, then he can watch the DU stocks in the Universe.

this shows the contrast on a 5 min chart of how trading goes.

Probably no one would have had cash on hand to handle this gap up on open.

A part of having great stock on a universe is seeing this going on in the first place.

you make the Universe and watch the stocks on the Universe.

For 1. set up a filter to give you the 1's ans 0's on the three items. Then put in a column for the score. It is a two or three level process because you have to create functions ETC..

Then this column can be X ferred to any list.

For 2 take a look at the lists. they show the calculated values in columns.

Do ranking on a filter as well. The IAS is difficult to produce automatically so you have to think about it. I sketched out five pages of math while waiting for an eye exam (I have artificial eyes these days so they have to be closely monitored.

I will post the ranking filter for you to come to understand how to convert principles and rules into platform languages.

For whatever unexplainable reason my result looks different.

very very good work

You can see the places where things are different.

the biggest is where shares float.

I used 5 million and 60 million yours shows % instead.
